10/20/2011: The Indiana Medical History Museum's Medicinal Plant Garden received an award at the International Master Gardener Conference in Charleston, West Virginia on October 14, 2011. The garden was awarded second place in the Demonstration Garden category of the International Master Gardener Search for Excellence program, which is sponsored by the National Gardening Association. The head of the IMHM garden, Kathleen Hull, presented at the conference poster session. She and two other IMHM Master Gardeners, Meredith Hull and Judy Turner, were present to accept the award. Over a thousand Master Gardeners from all of the country and Canada attended the conference, and many stopped at the poster and picked up information about the IMHM and its medicinal garden.

IMHM Partners with the Philharmonic Orchestra of Indianapolis for their 70th Classical Concert Season, "The Arts of Music and Science."
The Indiana Medical History Museum is a community education partner with the Philharmonic Orchestra of Indianapolis for its 70th Classical Concert Season entitled "The Arts of Music and Science." The season's musical themes range from forensics to psychiatry to the role of women in science. Audiences can enjoy superb performances, attend "Listen and Learn" sessions with the conductors, and learn about the history of the healing arts in Indiana through IMHM's changing displays in the theater lobby. Please join us for the next two performances on March 20th and May 1st at the Pike Performing Arts Center.
